Ruby Forest is a popular sidewalk community of about 450 homes in Suwanee......close to Suwanee Town Center and Mall of Georgia.
In 1820, the Roberts family built their home on land that is now Ruby Forest. The Breedlove family developed the property. Building started around 1994 and continued until about 2001.
SO, WHERE DID THE NAME, RUBY FOREST COME FROM?
Here is the story as told to me by Peggy Slappey. Ed Breedlove was very proud of the neighborhood he developed. It was his "crown jewel". His mother's name was Ruby. His father's name was Forest. So, it just made sense to name his crown jewel, Ruby Forest.
